Mediatex® Grey Back Upcycling FR

Junkers & Müllers Mediatex® takes another step towards sustainability. We would like to produce even more Mediatex® products in a more resource-friendly way and therefore present the article GREY BACK UPCYCLING FR. This article consists of 100 % recycled post-consumer polyester and is another answer to the growing demand for more environmentally friendly, green materials.

3-4 recycled 1.5 liter PET bottles are processed in one square meter of our UPCYCLING material. This helps to curb the worldwide pollution caused by plastic waste and recycling extends the life cycle of raw materials, minimizing the demand for virgin resources. The eco-balance of such processes is convincing; energy and above all water consumption are much lower than conventional chemical processing of fibers - a contribution to reduce the ecological footprint.

We have chosen SCS as our external certification body to determine and certify the recycled content in our textiles. The Recycling Content Certificate verifies the percentage of post-consumer content based on an analysis of material use and the manufacturing process.

Mediatex® Covertex UPcycling Medi Care FR

Covertex is an established product on the market and is suitable for use in wallcovering, roll-up, or display applications. It can be printed with latex, UV, or solvent inks and is available with an antimicrobial additive that offers additional assurance in places with increased hygiene requirements such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, and long-term care facilities. The active ingredients used are Oeko-Tex® compliant and have proven effective against some of the most frequently occurring relevant microorganisms in locations where they must be prevented from growing.

Another advantage of Covertex UPcycling Medi Care Fr is its recycled content. To curb global plastic waste pollution, we incorporate a base fabric made from recycled PET bottles. This extends the utilization cycle of the raw materials and contributes to reducing our ecological footprint.
